Underscore (-) is invisible in Geany text editor

Everything was working fine in Geany text editor on Ubuntu 18. I upgraded Ubuntu to 20 and after that I do not see underscore in Geany text editor. When I type '_', it shows space ' ' i.e. underscore has become invisible.

How can I fix this issue?

You can fix the issue by changing the font. Maybe the font you are currently using in Geany is not compatible with Ubuntu 20.

To change the font, select "Change font" from "view". You can select any Linux based font for Geany and then underscore will be visible.
