How to change font size of text in wordpress theme

The WordPress theme I am using for my website is very nice, but I do not like its font size. It is too small to read. The theme does not have any option to change the font size. I made some changes in style.css of the theme, but the text size did not change. Any ided how to change the font-size?

If the theme does not provide an option to change the font size, you need to make changes in the style.css of the theme.
