How to change the hostname in Hestiacp control panel

I am using HestiaCP control panel on my VPS. I changed the hostname on the VPS, but the control panel is not showing the new name. How can I change the hostname in HestiaCP?

Even if you change the hostname of your VPS, HestiaCP will not show the new name. You need to run a command on the terminal to change the hostname in HestiaCP.

• SSH to your VPS as root.
• On the terminal, type the following command to change the hostname.

v-change-sys-hostname new-hostname

Since HestiaCP and MyVestaCP are a fork of VestaCP, you can use the same command on both control panels to change the hostname.
